I purchased this warranty for a printer that was cheaper than what I would normally spend on a printer so I bought the warranty to be safe. I have to say that I have not had to use the warranty yet so can't rate that part. I did read the reviews before purchasing the warranty and how one person said he bought the warranty for one item but it said another. This also happened to me. Warranty said it was for a computer. But you have to read all the emails they send you & follow directions you are able to change this when you register your warranty which was very fast & very easy. Think the just use a generic category in the purchasing process but you are able to get it exact later.

Dear Square Trade Customer Service:

Your "shipping" and "shipped" date have mislead me. I have been watching my mailbox for a week for my Square Trade "shipment" to arrive but to no avail. Today, from a friend, I just learned that you don't really ship anything but simply email the buyer a set-up/ registration message to activate their warranty. The trouble is that I have already contacted Square Trade through Amazon's Orders Contact Seller feature about not receiving any information on the registration process. However, all I got was a reply email that was a vague, generic, form-letter message that had no reference to my warranty order number nor the printer's order number nor any instructions on how or where to set-up coverage by properly registering a product with your company. I want my purchase to be valid and my printer covered under the terms with which I bought my printer and added this warranty. Please resend me the warranty registration-process email, that initial message that a buyer receives after the order status changes to "shipped" at Amazon's Orders page. In the future, to improve your service, I seriously think that you should reconsider your policy and actually "ship" something tangible to your customers, like a simple 45-cent USPS letter with a hardcopy receipt of their order and a registration card or registration form enclosed.

Bad Canon MF 3010 crashed my entire system with annoying noise til I shut off Battery backup.

Cause of problem was Paper Feed hardware (NG)

New printer on the way so I get it Tomorrow or Weds.

It was very easy to sign up to get this warranty....I'm very happy with it. I hope I will never need it.

Can't really tell you the value of this protection plan unless I have to use it. I hope I don't have to but, I generally purchase extended warranties to begin with.
