I bought the Outcast a few weeks ago after seeing 2 of my neighbors using theirs for a few months.

First thing which put me off was the price these things are just not cheap BUT they are not cheap build or sound quality either.

If I'm honest I think they are pricing their selves a little too high but I bit the bullet and forked out the money and once you forget how much it just set you back you love the product.

The sound quality is extremely good. The soundcast has a nice vibrant base tone while the mid and high end tones are still very clear.

The sound carries well too, remember this is predominantly for outdoor use and we have quite a big yard which the soundcast has no problem filling with sound!

Battery life is good too. I have charged it twice now in 5 weeks and we have it on outside every night.

Simple to set up and use would be an understatement, I took it out the box, charged it, plugged my Ipod into the transmitter, switched it on and bingo music!

To summarize it is very expensive, it is very heavy, but it's easy to set up, durable waterproof, has a great sound and I'm happy with it!

Would just be that little bit nicer if it had a remote control.

The Soundcast system is 1st rate sound that is well worth the cost. There is no interference with the wireless signal and the sound reproductions is beyond my expectations for a wireless system. It is as good as a wired system while being fully portable. I work out of my home so I can carry this around without messing with wires or multiple speakers. It also works very well outside. The sound is "big" enough to fill the back yard when we are outside.

I see that some people think the price is too high, for me the quality of the sound as well as it's construction and flawless wireless performance are well worth the price. You get what you pay for and Soundcast gives you your money's worth

I bought this speaker after comparing other speakers and reading multiple reviews, and I have to say I have absolutely no regrets. The quality of sound is excellent and in my opinion comparable to bose I sould say. It is not cheap, but if your an audiophile you'll appeciate the beautiful and powerful sounds coming out of this speaker. Bass is great and battery life is awesome. We use ours out by pool and it's really comforting to know that speaker will be safe even if a little water splashes on it. I've had multiple complements on it and even a few friends who have now purchased their own speaker. I would recommend this speaker to someone who wants a speaker that can be used outdoors but also needs great sound delivered.

We bought this about 2 years ago and use it all the time in the summer near the pool. When ever we have parties we use it and people ask me everytime where I got it. Yes it is very expensive for an outdoor speaker, but the sound is pretty amazing. No fear of it getting wet and plugging in the iphone is a snap. Kids love to push the buttons too and like to see how loud it can get. Sound carries very well, great bass.
