I don't think you will find a better fishfinder for the money. Great picture, very good detail. Easy to use, very user friendly menu. I installed this product with a sperately purchased speed sensor with no problems. I would not hesitate to buy this product again and recommend it to others.

So my father just recently got a boat.. Told him he needs a fish finder.. So I figured I'd just get one for his birthday & help him install it.

We installed the sonar device on the rear of the boat.. We also bought the speed sensor too. The cables were PLENTY long to get to the center of the boat. Installation was straight forward.. I would really recommend buying yourself a tube of 3M Fast Dry Marine Sealant available at Home Depot/Menard's or maybe Amazon? Seems to work great with about 4-6 hours of tinkering with the sensitivity of the sonar. After I left, my dad found a spot where the fish finder lit with fish in a heavy weed/lily pad area, where there could be a lot of false positives hypothetically. He pulled up at least 20 bluegills & rock bass. He seems to be very happy with it. It is a high quality device. Depth appeared to be spot on & the speed sensor cable is definitely worth buying if you don't have a speedo.
