This affordable, two-port USB charger for your car's cigarette lighter has one high capacity (rated at 2 AMPs) USB port and one low capacity USB port (1 AMP). A small, blue LED lights to show when automobile power is on. The hi-cap USB port will charge a tablet, like an iPad, but the low-cap port will not. Either USB port will charge your iPhone, iPod, or other low-power USB device. If you are charging one hi-cap tablet device, I do not advise simultaneously charging another device, as the charger may be overtaxed and overheat and be damaged. It fully charged our iPad2 and iPad3 (one at a time, only) in a few hours. It also charged both an automotive GPS and an iPhone at the same time. It would get 5 stars if the USB ports were spaced further apart (some difficulty plugging in two fat USB cables at the same time) and if the power LED were brighter and easier to see from all sides. Therefore, this is recommended as a good value and gets my 4-star rating.

Works great, was a little nervous that it wouldn't be powerful enough to charge the IPAD in the car but it does!!! Well worth getting one for every vehicle.

These are okay but they feel cheaply made and I'm afraid that they will not hold up very well. Already the slot where I put the USB is getting loose and doesn't connect securely.
