I use Square Trade protection plans for everything that I buy. I am usually the unlucky "1 out of 10" when it comes to electronics where the chances of defective products are, 1 out of 10. Square Trade makes it extremely easy to replace products. You don't have to go through all of the hassle that you get from places like best buy and radio shack where if you have to send your item in for warranty you first have to give it to them to ship out and see if it can be fixed, then the have to ship it back to the store where you have to go back and pick your item up after three weeks of wondering what is going on with it only to find out it was unfixable and you end up with a refurbished item that will probably have the same issues. So far the only item I had to send in for warranty to Square Trade was replaced with a brand new item in under a week and delivered back to my house and paid for the shipping both ways! would've gotten a 5 star, but the plan is a typical warranty, no bells and whistles. though it was a great price for a 2 year warranty, it would have had to have something extra in the warranty to warrant a 5 star rating, like a discounted replacement in case of an accident other than no help at all under their standard plan.

We ;paid for this but never received an email or snail mail or anything regarding the warranty. Have no way of knowing how to use it if the product stops working, this was a complete waste of money.

Haven't had to use, but simple and easy to set up. They mail you a protection card, I'd say its worth the 5 bucks.
