Good item, proper fit for Rem.870 tube mount. Good dimentions, machine work and finish is top quality. Good price.

Problem: certain laser mounts require more surface area to maintain laser mount position. In other words, the NcStar mount may be too narrow to adeqetly hold the laser in place. But 2 NcStar mounts placed side by side will align together and at the same time maintain the laser mount and with stand the recoil of the 12ga shotgun.

Ok I can see being a little dissatisfied with a Mossberg 500 and this mount if you wanted a verticle mount but I own the Mossberg 590 and love the side mount now I can have my surefire flashlight (once i order it) and my bayonet! I might even spring for a laser light if I find one I like with a decent battery life. Anyway great mount havn't tested it holding up to recoil yet but after I loctite my new flashlight in this thing i am very confident it will hold up.

I'm like many other reviewers with a Mossberg 500. This product would have received so many five star ratings if they would have made it to fit between the rails. I have a grinder, so after a few minutes of work, I can now use it as a bottom mount. It really is no big deal, but why would they make customers do that?

Just be careful you don't go too far, but you do have to take it right down to the screw head then a quick spray of some black paint.

Okay, now the good. It's not some cheap platice mount, it's sturdy and looks well made. Once it's modified, it's just what I was looking for and at a good price.

Great, but it doesnt fit a 1" flashlight, it is secure and holds tight to the barrel but time will tell how well and how long.

I have it on the magazine tube of my Mossberg 500. Shot many rounds with the mount on and it has not budged. I have seen reviews about it causing rust, I don't have that issue. I just used a coat of oil before install and re-coat after shooting. I have a Maglite XL-50 on it, perfect fit, I can easily reach it with my thumb while holding the pump. Not fancy ($25) but it works even after shooting a lot of rounds.
