I bought this to use in my classic car for the ipod plug to avoid altering the dash. I don't have it hooked up to a head unit. It is no way 800 watts but it does drive my polk 6 x 9s fairly well. Not great but what can be expected for the money. I am going to put the speakers in my boat but haven't done that yet. They seem cheap and have small magnets.
