- Handheld speaker mic, easy to speak and hear without lifting your radio
- Rotatable Clip in the back allows you clip the mic everywhere you want
My complaints? It's cheap plastic. It feels like it would break pretty easily. So don't drop it. That wouldn't be too much of a risk, except that the clip on the back is pretty bad. It's very loose, swivels way too easily and won't really stay clipped if you move around too much. So no running, jogging, stair climbing, etc. Also, it sounds very tinny. Audio going out and coming in is pretty bad quality compared to most other mics. I've had mics for half this cost that out performed it by a long shot. But the bottom line is that it works and it gets the job done.

Bought this to keep the radio in my pocket and still hear the FM radio. If you use this with a UV-5R in your pocket, don't forget to disable Menu #7. Any signal on the other band will make that the transmit band, and you don't want to be that guy!Read Best Reviews of Original Handheld BAOFENG UV-5R Speaker-mic for dual band radio Here
It fits into the Kenwood ports, but pressing the transmit button does nothing. I was hoping it would work for both the Baofeng and the Kenwood, but alas, it doesn't. That being said, it works just fine on the radio it was intended for, the Baofeng UV-5R.OTOH, my Kenwood programming cable worked fine on the Baofeng. YMMV.

Works great, as does the radio. No problems with this mic in an 8 hour shift of heavy, wet snow.I bought this for a loaner radio a friend let me borrow for a nice wilderness excursion. This will work with the Quansheng radios. The PTT on the speakermic requires a little force for it to activate. Other than that it will work just fine. Not the best quality on the block but I was not expecting it for the price.
