CONS: The wireless signal at a distance could be a bit better, but I can't complain.

Required disc to install on windows 8. Untested on windows 7. I would think with all the advancements a separate disc wouldn't be required.

I LOVE this little thing!! It solved my windows 8 wifi problem!!! I have a new Lenovo ideapad which has a very poor wifi antenna in it. The Kinivo (some relation to Lenovo?) works really well. It's MUCH faster than without it, not to mention the improved reception. I put it on the end of a 3 foot usb cord so i can be in the car and hang it on the visor and get wifi from Starbucks. I'm tempted to buy some pringles and make a directional antenna out of the can, or make a parabolic reflector and stick it up on the window. Oh yeah! The driver was pretty simple, I thought I had a problem with the installation, but then realized it was already installed and working. This is an altogether wonderful product!! I panicked when I installed this the first time around. It locked up my computer completely. After removing it, doing a hard re-boot on the PC, and then re-installing the USB Adapter, it now works like a charm. I can safely remove it if I want my wired PC to work via wired connection, and just plug the USB Adapter back in when I want to work wirelessly. I don't even have to unplug the wired connection. This wireless USB over-rides the wired connection. I use it when I want my PC on my wireless home network for sharing files and music. Great buy! Would have given 5 stars if not for the shaky start at first install, but would totally recommend.
