This flashlight mount fits my weapon securely. I have a surefire G2X nitrolon in this mount and it's in there good. A great light mount for a nice low price.

This offset ring did just what it was designed to do. I have ordered different ones from different companies and it looks like they all came from the same place. They are identical. Some places the cost was $22 and on Amazon I found them for under $8 with free shipping with orders over $25. Oh, and by the way, this will hold the Cree UltraFire 501b and 502B flashlight housings.

There's not much frilly about this thing! I love the fact that many great flashlights will fit right in it's pretty much universal and grips great. Easy to install, clips on, and then you screw it tight with a hex wrench. I don't have side picatinny rails, so I had to choose either the top or bottom (that's why offset was important). I did top first, but it messes ever so slightly with any optics or posts you might have not a huge problem but any problem with sights is a danger, so I threw it on the bottom. On a 16" barrel AR, it does kind of take up precious handguard space, but it sort of creates a guide space for your hand, so I'm not complaining too much maybe a hassle for long-range shooters, but I'm a medium to close person. It's offset enough that if you put it on the bottom it won't snag or get your mount, flashlight scuffed from hitting things but not offset enough that it will prevent a slight barrel silhouette with the light. Easy way just use a flashlight with a narrower beam.
