With the intro of the iPad3 on 03/16/12, SquareTrade CHANGED their iPad Warranty on their website to match that of AppleCare+. Now, their policy is either $89 (2yrs) or $119 (3yrs) and BOTH now have a $49 DEDUCTIBLE per occurrence in addition to the policy premium. That's like paying an EXTRA 50% whenever you need to file a claim and have a repair done!

This policy here on Amazon covers the same accidental damage (drops/spills, etc) but there is NO DEDUCTIBLE. This seems like a better deal to me so I jumped on this.

I have had experience with SquareTrade as I had a warranty of theirs on my iPad2 and it was dropped and the screen cracked. Their warranty service was outstanding! No hoops to jump thru or anything. A pre-paid shipping box arrived and my iPad2 was repaired and back in my hands within 3 days!!! Best of all, there was $0 deductible (this was before they changed the policy to the new version with the $49 deductible).

My opinion is Grab this policy via Amazon before SquareTrade stops offering this version of it. As it stands now, their current iPad warranty (from their website) offers little incentive vs AppleCare+.

This is so worth the money. They are cheaper than Apple and cover alot more. I am so glad I read the other reviews for this product. I just wish I would have been able to buy my new mini ipad through amazon so I could still get the "square trade" offer. Great company. No silly deals at all.
