Samsung Note2 Stand and Spare Battery Charger

I use the daylights out of my Galaxy Note 2. It's my phone, my camera, my mp3 player, my Netlix screen, my Internet connection tether when I'm at remote locations. Needless to say I can easily go through a battery or two a day. One of the first purchases I always make after buying a cell phone is buying extra batteries. Normally these batteries come with a cheap wall charger that takes a good 6-8 hours to fully charge a battery.

Not this bad boy! This is the factory OEM Samsung 2000mA (or 2.0A) charger. Most of the cheap wall chargers you get are only 800mA, and with those I'd charge a battery before leaving the house for the day or before going to bed because it would take a good 8 hours to charge a completely drained battery. Now with this Samsung charger I can fully charge a dead battery in the time it takes to watch a movie.

The battery included is also a stock OEM Samsung battery, identical to the one in my phone. I also bought a set of Anker batteries (and discarded the crummy 800mA charger they come with) and charged them successfully in the same short amount of time using this OEM Samsung Charger.

Bottom Line: Well worth the extra money you pay for it if you're impatient about waiting for batteries to charge.

This spare battery charging system is very good for keeping a battery that is 100% charged. I work long hours in the field and having a spare battery is very convenient. I like how this charging system is compact. It provides a secure carrying case for the included 3100 mAh battery, which is the same as the stock battery. The charging system is straight forward. Just plug the Micro USB travel adapter into the charger and the other end into an outlet. You will never be stuck waiting for your battery to charge again.

This charging system is not a quick charge. It comes with a 5 volt, 0.70 amp adapter. The 2.1 amp charge adapter that comes with the Galaxy Note 2 can be used with this charging system for charging the battery in about half the time. There is a built in stand for viewing in landscape and portrait modes as long as you don't have a case on the phone. The shiny black plastic surface is sleek and attractive but is a magnet for fingerprints. There are rubber feet on the bottom that keep the charger in place. There isn't any way to charge the battery while it is in the phone. That aside, this charging unit allows me to always have a charged spare battery and to be more productive while working in the field. It's also a nice solution for being able to watch videos for an extended time without having to worry about running out of power.

The box this little device came in said it was a Spare Battery Charging System and I was apprehensive about needing it until I got it out of the box. I assumed it was just a device to keep a spare battery charged but it is certainly more than that. It does contain a spare battery compartment, with the battery included but it also is a docking station. This works perfectly for me as I need to sync to my PC daily so I placed the unit next to my computer and when I get home my phone immediately goes into the docking station. It holds the phone both horizontally and vertically and I can connect the phone to my PC and sync from the dock by turning it vertically without removing the flip cover. I will admit I wish it was also a charger for those days I do not sync, but the benefits still make it a great little accessory. Having the spare battery charged and ready to go is an added bonus as I always have a freshly charged battery and can grab and replace it when I disconnect from my PC. It is a small unit, portable enough for taking on trips or having in the car for backup. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a Galaxy Note II as you'll wonder how you did without it.

As an event planner and an online student, I always need to charge my phone. I hate being teetered down while my phone recharges via wall outlet or car charger.
