Bushnell Tour Z6 Tournament Edition Golf Laser Rangefinder

I used for the first time yesterday and it worked flawlessly and I was able to very quickly determine the yardages to the pin. What sets this product apart from others is the easy to read display (red) and the pinseeker technology. A round I played last weekend with a friend, where he had a competitors product, we found the yardages were off as we were never certain he was hitting the pin. Does not happen with this Bushnell and "pinseeker".

This is the first rangefinder I have ever purchased. Works great in all lighting and is easy to use.

I bought this unit and also the V2 w/ Slope to compare them both. I played 9 holes using the V2 and loved it. Easy to use and the Slope is actually a great tool. At the turn I switched them and started using the Z6. The Z6 is a hair faster and the red readout is much easier to read as teh red color really stands out. That being said, the V2 is not hard to read, it's just not as bright as the red. HOWEVER, the button to press is MUCH firmer on the Z6 and that causes a slight shake when you are getting a long read. I am a strong 38 year old so it doesn't shake because I am old and feeble. It shakes because you have to press so hard.

Once I reached 13, I would use both and for the last 3 holes I was 100% back to the V2. Yes, the V2 is the older model but I decided to stick with that one and not for the money.....I think there is only a $50 difference.

You will be happy with either one but I chose the V2 because of the Slope and it's easier to use.

Ahhh the Tour Z6..

If I had to describe the way it felt in my hand. Two words come to mind, rocket launcher. Well, excluding the front and back tubular portion of course. The red button for lasing was pretty stiff right out of the box but after one round, it seems to be easing up. The pinseeker technology grabbed most of the flags with extreme speed. There were many times that I caught myself wasting time hitting the same pin twice. You could say that the speed of the initial readout put me into a state of shock. I did have some rare instances of pinseeking difficulty but it just took slightly longer to grab.

The average "extreme speed" took 5 seconds while the "slightly longer grab" took 13 seconds. I know it is not much but I figured I would provide an estimated time just to compare.

My mind runs through a check list before each swing and this gadget just helped me shorten that list.

I have gained a great deal of confidence with my club selection as well as my execution. I would highly recommend the Tour Z6 to golfers looking to gauge their distance with more accuracy. My mental estimates were pretty accurate but not when the greens were sloped to make the pins appear further/closer.

It is small, lightweight and very easy to use. I especially like the red yardage readout that is easy to read, even in bright light. It seeks the pins well, distinguishing them from trees and objects behind the green. The battery compartment door stays closed, unlike some of the other models.
