I needed a way to get data into the ipad from certain devices and this is it. Works as advertised. One end is a male lightning connector and the other end is a usb "A" female end. This is advertised as a camera connector and it works for that but also with a powered usb hub you can connect other peripherals. I used it to connect an exterior audio card and it all worked fine...****you do need a powered usb hub and cannot connect peripherals to ipad without an alternate power source.*** If what you want to connect is already powered then you are good to go...if not get a powered usb hub and you are in business.

Everything works great as expected. Just keep in mind the item will not support the iPhone 5 or the iPod Touch 5th Generation. Will ONLY work for the iPad 4 and the iPad Mini!

Plug seems to be used, box had clearly been revealed and chord was slightly weathered yellow color. Also the chord was slightly pulled out of connector with wires showing, I was able to push it back in and it seems to work fine. However not to pleased with the condition.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm a photographer and after my laptop died I was looking at the ipad as an alternative to downloading and viewing my images on the go. I plugged it in and attached my Canon 7D. The import window popped up and I was able to download my RAW images without a problem. Just like Apple to make it simple.

I looked at the other "cheaper" options but I'm happy I paid extra and got the apple brand.
