Great product and reasonably priced definitely did the job for us. Buyer beware ... when you stick the item to the wall that you want to secure make CERTAIN that you are happy with the location before you place it. Once the item is in place, there is no taking it off the wall without causing possible damage. When we remove our items on the wall we will likely have to use a solvent or knife to remove from the wall and there may still be some minimal damage.Item as advertised and is definitely a quality product.

Whether it is a dorm or office, this mounting tape is essential. Skip the 'cost conscious' little packages and go straight for the rolls of this wonderful substance. Whatever you have to pay is going to be worth the cost.I've easily used up a roll only because once I get one I can then find so many immediate uses.
This substance is particularly helpful when it is mounted to the back of dry erase boards or non-poster materials. Short of lamination/framing the item prior to application there is no way this adhesive will come off a poster while leaving the poster intact. The adhesive strip is going to stay on there for better or worse.
However, it can quickly be reapplied to the surface to be mounted provided that you have not already pounded it into place.

The price on this product is amazing for what it does! The strength of this double-sided tape is amazing; it would be somewhat difficult to remove it after placing it securely. I don't know about other people but I've tried some tests and this foam tape has never left behind marks/stains that other tapes have left behind. Another thing I like about this product is that it's very easy to use; ANYONE can use it without any trouble. All you need is scissors to cut the length you want, and then simply apply it to the surface you're mounting it to. After that, you just take off the tape from the other side and stick whatever you want there (i.e: picture, decorations, corkboard, etcetera). Furthermore, the tape isn't secure unless you press on it. In other words, if you've made a slight mistake and would like to re-position the placement, you can easily do that without wrestling it out.Great product, great price.

This was a disappointment, not what we expected from our previous experience.We used 3M 4026 tape many years ago to mount heavy paintings to their frames. We were told that it was used in aircraft and automobile applications. It worked very well back then, and those paintings are still holding well. We ordered this version for some new paintings, expecting the same results. The warning should have been the label statement "holds up to 2 pounds". Needless to say, it didn't hold well at all, and we had to scramble for an alternative. We may have done something wrong, but the tape came off VERY easily once I started pulling on it.
3M now makes VHB tapes, and these might be better for high-strength applications (haven't tried them). I'm not sure what 4026 is for.
