I bought these as an alternative for the Panasonic 3-D glasses recommended for my Panasonic viera. At less than half the cost, why not. But I am a 3-D idiot. This is the first time I ever used 3-D glasses to watch TV. I ran in to a few bumps along the way, but once I figured them out, its pretty cool.PROS:
*They work. once you get them paired, you are all set.
CONS:
*As a first time user, I wished the instructions were better, as I almost returned these. I am glad I didint.
*I was not sure what to do at first with the red and blue tabs on the glasses. Being new to this, and this actually being the first pair of battery operated glasses I have ever seen, I was not sure if they were meant to stay on or be removed. Nothing in the instructions tell you one way or the other. For future reference, they are tabs to remove the protective film, so take them off.
*Pairing these from instructions had me forever waiting for the TV to have an on screen telling you they are "paired". Pairing them with my Panasonic viera, this did not happen. Probably would on a Samsung TV, so my fault for assuming. I got a brief display that showed battery level and replica of glasses. Then it goes away and the power light on the glasses shut off. I thought the green power light on glasses staying ON meant they were paired. Nope. Lights or no lights, They are paired. You need to actually put them on to find out. Then, if they are working, it's quite impressive.
*Only pair them with 3-D content already going. Most folks probably know that. I didint.
*Because the power light on these glasses do not glow during useage, be sure to press the power button when you are done to be sure they are shut off. If not, I assume the battery will drain dry.
Bottom line: Recommended.

I have these Samsung 3D glasses and also some much more expensive Panasonic glasses. You get the exact same picture results from both pairs. They also connect to my 2012 Panasonic VIERA TC-P65VT50 65-Inch 1080p Full HD 3D Plasma TV with no problem. The more expensive glasses may have better frames and block out more of the peripheral light, but there is no difference in the picture.I bought these glasses to use with my 2013 Panasonic VIERA TC-P55UT50 and they synched with no problem and work great. I haven't owned any other glasses so I cannot compare but if you want to save money over more expensive glasses these work great.Bought these for my 2012 Panasonic 55-inch 3D plasma. Worked perfectly right from the start. Image pops and I'm very happy with this purchase. I'll be getting a few more pairs so friends and family can join in!
