This cable has the same features as Apple TV (ATv) allows you to tether your iPad, iPod or iPhone (large plug) to your HDMI TV set same as wireless with an ATv at 1/4 the price. Simple process of plugging in the iPad, the TV and using the USB wire to power the device. Most TV's also have a USB plug built in so you will not need a wall plug adapter. Web pages, email, presentations and You-tube on the big screen is a nice feature. Ha -yes! YouTube running on Chrome! Shhhh don't tell Apple or they will lock out Chrome on the iPad! If you are a couch potato and do not like to get up between videos you will need a long(er) HDMI cable. One short coming is Apple ("in control" Apple) locks out Amazon videos if you are a Prime member. Same as they do one the ATv. In this case you only get the sound through the TV because Amazon movies are the competition and Apple does not support. I hope to see an App sometime soon to watch Amazon videos hosted by the iPad/iPhone versus a Playstation etc ...maybe there's an App already as I did not look too hard. The cable should work on Netflix (supported by Apple) but after joining Prime I no longer have Netflix.

This device is way better than the rest in two ways.

1. This unit comes with a USB connector to plug into your charger and charge your iPad or iDevice while it plays your video through the HDMI port.

2. This unit seems to be built a LOT tougher than the other models available. Feels like a thicker plastic and tighter connection.

Everything works very well and it mirrors the display onto the TV or Projector and when playing videos through the video player it plays the vid and the control interface is on the device so it doesn't have to mirror a full movie playing...

This product is very useful and working very well as advertised. I could able to connect my Ipad 3 to my LG LM4700 TV and watch videos. Only problem is the video is not showing full resolution on the HD screen. Probably its not the cable issue... it might be the Ipad o/p.

I got this product for my brother and he loves it he watches YouTube videos who plays music videos so all I can say is I give it to glorious thumbs up
