This product is exceptional for the price. Sturdy metal constructioon with solid glass. Both the macro and wide-angle attachments produce very good results. No, they will not produce the same quality results of a $400 lens, as well it shouldn't. The majority of negative reviews of this product appear to be due to either grandiose expectations or a lack of knowledge. Yes, this lens can and will produce vignetting and other distortons under certain conditions, but so will a $600 lens. It may also jam up and damage the thread on your camera if you forcefully screw it on sideways, but so will a $600 lens. And, finally, no it will not produce Ansel Adams' quality landscapes... Unless you are Ansel. For the price, however, it will provide good photographs for good photographers.

It fits on my nikon D3000 kit lens 18-55mm works great. I found a cool trick if you take the lens apart and flip the glass pieces it turns into a fisheye lens, so I got a wide angle lens and a fisheye lens.

This product does what it is supposed to creat a wide angle @ 0.45x it's a really low price but performs well. If you have a lens like 18mm with correct focus, it could creat a small vignette around the edges. What I liked was, that the lens had a macro in it too, so that's a really great addition!

I would recommend this product to entry-level photographers!

I like the idea that you get 2 lenses in one. Both do the job well. Don't expect miracles, after all, you get what you pay for, but I'm real happy with the results. If you are new to photography, you should get this lense. Can't beat it for the money. Make sure you are careful when you screw it on the front of your lense. Threads are small, so it's easy to strip the threads. Take your time doing it and you won't have any problems. Well worth the cost.

I received this lens and it fits my Nikon D5100 camera, BUT if you get the 55-300mm zoom lens for your camera it will not fit since the diameter is 58mm. This wide angle fits the 18-55mm lens which is the basic attachment you get with the Nikon D5100, this lens has a 52mm diameter. Theres a ring that you can unscrew on the top of the wide angle lens and allows you to flip the glass over, be careful not to do this in the rain or in a place with a lot of moisture. Do it in a dry place and be sure to wipe both sides of the glass clean. With that said, once you put the thick ring down in the bottom then flip the glass and put that in with the lipped side facing outward (so its like a crater and not the smooth, flat glass side) screw the ring in until the glass does not wiggle or fall out. Over your bed or a couch test the lens to make sure its secure and the glass does not fall out. Doing this turns it into a fisheye effect, not the best, but it works well for both fisheye and wide angle. If you want to be a pro, save up for a fisheye attachment :)
