I was very disappointed when I opened the box only to find the speed sensor and the mounting bracket. There is no installation manual and no mounting hardware. If you want the nuts, bolts, and screws to mount it on your boat you have to purchase the next package up for $56.00 dollars. I think that the seller or Garmin should mention that there's no mounting hardware or installation manual when you purchase this item. For an extra $25.00 dollars I'll use my own nuts and bolts.

I bought the speed sensor to find out my boats speeds running and trolling with my new echo 550c. It worked fine for high speeds but would not work at low speeds below 5 mph. I sprayed wd40 on it and now it works below 1 mph.

This speed sensor WILL NOT FIT A GARMIN 100...dont waste your money...it might work well with other Garmin fish finders...Amazon shows it as a package deal...but it does not work...

Price was good. Installation was OK. It worked well on my pontoon Boat. I'm not sure about the calibration feature. It may take a few trials to get the setting right.
