- The Disguise - The KeyVU looks identical to thousands of typical car remotes used for unlocking you car. Key fobs are so common in fact, that no one will ever give it a second thought, let alone a first thought.
- Pinhole Camera - The KeyVU has one of the best micro-cameras built-in, providing stunning 480p (720x480) quality full color video at 30 frames per second so you can catch all the action with amazing clarity. A wide angle lens provides excellent coverage and all video is recorded in .AVI format.
- Still Photography - Make the most out of your memory card capacity and use the KeyVU in still photography mode, producing SXGA (1280x1024, 24 bit) quality full color pictures saved in .jpeg format.
- Covert - Literally the most covert method of recording video available to date. You have total control over all recording without anyone even knowing you have a camera.
- Time & Date Stamp - For using the KeyVU in a more "official" capacity, set the KeyVU to watermark videos and pictures with a time and date stamp. Now you have legal proof.

I taped this camera on top of my Syma x1 Quad Copter. Not bad, Not great. Flips are pretty blurry. What you see here is what you get. Exactly.

Wow, this is really a fun little toy. I have read people having problems in other reviews but mine works very well. So I'm giving a shout out to "USAsouthernSTAR" who is the seller since theirs seem to work! The only thing is I wish the audio was a little more sensitive. When I talk right next to it my voice seems pretty quiet on the recording. Oh well, seriously what can you expect for the price of this little toy. Picture quality and video quality is actually pretty good. The focus is good. It does have more of a zoom feel to it vs. a wide angle lens so you most likely will have to practise in pointing it to get what you want in the frame. Again, it's pretty cool (omg I'm sounding like a kid lol). Oh yea, the manual is pretty bad but I noticed another paper enclosed written just in english which gives 5 quick points to operating the device. I am guessing this is their solution to all the complains about the manual. The 5 points does not cover setting the time which is why I thought I would share it here.
I read someone had difficulty setting the time. I figured out how to set the time and I thought I would share that with everyone. Just a note about the manual. They try and explain how to set the time (poorly) but then they leave out how you have to empty the file BEFORE you turn it on the 2nd time otherwise the time will get over written again. Hopefully my mini-manual below will help others :)
To set/reset the time:
1. While the device is NOT connected to your computer. Turn the device on and back off. This will initialize the SD memory card and create a file named TAG.TXT in the root directory of the SD card. If this file has not been created then in step 3 instead of editting the file your going to create one (in the root directory) and populate the file with the time in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (24 hour) format.
2. Connect the device to your computer (via USB cable).
3. Edit the TAG.TXT file with notepad. You will find a default date/time already populated in the file in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS (24 hour format). I'm guessing this factory default date/time will vary based on the date of manufacturing. Overtype the time you wish to set the device to. Type a time in the future (i.e., 1 or two minutes into the future) as you will see later as to why you want to do this.
4. Save the file and exit notepad.
5. Disconnect the device from your computer.
6. Wait for the future time to arrive. When it has arrived then power on the device. This will set the time to the time you specified in the file and over write the file with the factory default time.
7. Power off the device and connect it to your computer again.
8. Edit the TAG.TXT file. Again, you should find the time in that file has now been over written with the factory default time.
9. Delete the contents on the file BUT DO NOT DELETE THE FILE ITSELF.
10. Save the empty file.
11. After you turn on the device again this file will be over written with the number "2". I am assuming this tells the device to NOT over write the time when turned on. Your time should now be set on your device between multiple uses.
Note: Again. YOU MUST NOT DELETE THIS FILE. If you delete the file then a new file will be created with the factory default time and the next time you power on the device it will over write the time with the factor default time again.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! But here is my translation of the instructions:
1) Insert micro sd card, but don't miss the correct slot, if it seems to go in like an old style sd card slot (not springy) try again until you hit a springy slot.
2) Charge in usb.
3) Hold down the big button until led lights up.
4) Tap little button to take still frame.
5) Hold down little button until it flashes to take video, hold again to stop.
6) Hold down the big button to shut off!

I've used 808 cams before, they are a nice cheap video cam for things where you just don't want to risk things getting broken. And there are lots of variants, some good, some bad. But the rating of 1 is because this particular cam failed in the following: The USB cable that came with the unit was DOA. Annoying, but not uncommon.(-1) This is presented as a low-light camera. It's not. Standard office lighting produces ok, if slightly grainy video. But dim slightly, and the image becomes dark and very grainy. And in what I would consider low light (dusk) the image is black. Don't call it low light if it's not.(-1) The box it came in said the battery is 280mAh. The battery installed is 170mAh. 40% smaller (-2). Additional information: Appears to be a variant of a #9, based on processor and USB identification string. Measured recording time 50min, though this may improve with a few cycles of the battery. Sound is surprisingly good no sign of motorboating. Quicktime movie inspector says Genplus, MPG, 740x480, 22KHz PCM audio, 30FPS, 3.9MB/Second. This review would have been a 4, if it did not try and advertise itself as something it's not.
I bought pretty much all the little spycam size devices out there, for my excellent Syma X1 quadcopter (that's the best toy ever at $35). This is the camera to have of the under $25 bunch much more durable than the others. Also make more sense to use.
* Large button is the on/off toggle (hold for a moment for either).
* small button short press = picture
* small button long press starts video. Device will blink a few times when starting to record but during recording THE LIGHTS IS OFF...
* when done, press small button again and you get a few fast flashes. That stops recording
* press and hold big button to turn off.
