This USB camera works well on a Mac with OS 10.7.5. You can view the camera's video on Mac's own PhotoBooth and QuickTime Software. Just select the USB camera versus the built-in Apple iSight camera on MacBooks. You can record a still picture using PhotoBooth. You can record a video using QuickTime. I've had for two days. So far, it meets the ticket!

Pros: easy to set up, no problem with windows 7. The LED's are perfect for dark spaces (I've had it in the walls and am building the nerve to stick it down the toilet!). The picture is clear and overall use is easy. You take still pictures or video.

Cons: The rheostat is a bit flimsy. It doesn't "gradually" impact brightness. Instead, it's bright or dim. Not a real problem.

Keep in mind that focus is fixed; you focus by adjusting the distance between the camera and target.

The four LED's are so dim it's hard to tell if they are even on -looking directly at them! Completely useless! I had to strap another light source on to my snake to see anything behind the walls. The software should be downloadable now that many tablets and netbooks have no CD drive. The light level of the LED's needs to be addressed, and it would be great if the software could be used to adjust the brightness.

Has long cord, will only focus a about 6 inchs from an object. Very hard to keep it oriented, likes to go up-side-down. Fair pictur quality. Good for the price.

This thing is great! The LED's are really bright and being able to adjust the brightness really helps to. The only thing that'd help is some sort of focusing feature but then again it's great for the price. I'd throw away the software though and just use any of the PC/Mac built in viewers like photobooth.
