There seems to be almost limitless ways to find products on Amazon: search by a keyword, browse through a category, look at recommendations that Amazon makes for you. If you want to find out what is hot and selling fast, you can easily see all of the best sellers in either a department or a subcategory.
Select a Category
On the Amazon homepage, locate the search bar near the top of the page. The default in the Department drop down is "All Departments." Select a department to search by clicking on the arrow to the right of "All Departments" and then click "Go," which is located on the far right of the search box. This will bring you to the home page for the selected department.
Find the Best Sellers in the Department
Locate "Best Sellers" directly under the search bar. Clicking on this will display the products in the department ranked by sales. Under the ranking you will also see the number of days a product has been in the top 100 based on sales.
Find Best Sellers in a Subcategory
Many departments on Amazon have subcategories. The subcategories also have rankings based on sales. On a department's best-seller page, the list of subcategories is on the left side of the screen. Click on one of the subcategories and you will see the products in that subcategory ranked based on sales.
Movers and Shakers
On a department or subcategory sales ranking page you can find products that Amazon calls "Movers and Shakers." These are products with the largest sales rank increase in the last 24 hours. To find these products, click on "Movers and Shakers," which is located under the search bar when on a department or subcategory best-sellers page.
